Charleville Castle is Ireland's finest neo-gothic edifice the creation of Architect Francis Johnston and the Earl and Lady Charleville - now the centre of the quest international action-learning push for Global Sustainability, Peace and removal of barriers to human well-being. Charleville Castle was itself a great peace venture - to uplift and open up new opportunities to the people of Ireland in the wake of the failed insurrection of 1798 which had received great support from France. These ideas stay alive to day and the volunteers at Charleville castle come from across the globe - reaching out to "uplift" - the new leaders are forming through action-learning to make a real difference in the future ....
